(Started March 10th, 2023) How Is Bon Iver’s “For Emma, Forever Ago”

Sometimes I like to read the reviews for these acclaimed CDs. That’s what I did with Bon Iver’s “For Emma, Forever Ago”- depending on the review it was either the greatest CD ever or people wondering why they didn’t listen to the CD before buying. That second group wished they would have never bought the CD.

My first reaction is that these are decent songs but that they aren’t amazing. At first listen it’s an okay CD. With continue listens will it grow on me, I don’t know. It’s not a CD that I will need to add to my music collection any time soon.

This is a so-called break up record, but Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” is still the best break-up CD of all-time.
