(Finished March 11th, 2023) Part 2 The Best Songs From Teen Movies

Hello,

I started watching the new teen TV series “School Spirits”. I’ve watched the first two episodes so far and quite like the show. One of my favorite things about teen media is the great music that’s a part of them. I was more than a little disappointed that “School Spirits” doesn’t have much music at all.

But that still inspired me to start this series of blogs about the best music from teen media, mostly movies. I’m following the Top 40 movies from the following website: bestlifeonline.com/the-40-greatest-teen-movies-ever-ranked/

I’m going to post the famous songs, but also at least one of the more obscure songs.

bestlifeonline.com’s # 40 ranked movie “Can’t Buy Me Love”:

18) Living In A Box “Living In A Box”:

I couldn’t find a video for Lennon’s version so here’s Johnny Rivers’ classic version. 19) Kipp Lennon “Secret Agent Man”:

20) Billy Idol “Dancing With Myself:

Wait what the original “Footloose” didn’t make their Top 40 either, I’m starting to have my doubts about this countdown.

21) Kenny Loggins “Footloose”:

22) Deniece Williams “Let’s Hear It For The Boy”:

23) Mike Reno and Ann Wilson “Almost Paradise”:

24) Bonnie Tyler “Holding Out For A Hero”:

25) Shalamar “Dancing In The Sheets”:

26) Kenny Loggins “I’m Free (Heaven Helps The Man)”:

27) Karla Bonoff “Somebody’s Eyes”:

28) Sammy Hagar “The Girl Gets Around”:

29) Moving Pictures “Never”:

bestlifeonline.com’s # 39 ranked movie “American Pie”. I honestly don’t know any of those songs.

29) I’m going to include this song though Blink-182 “Mutt”:

bestlifeonline.com’s # 38 ranked movie “What A Girl Wants”:

30) Meredith Brooks “Crazy”:

31) The Clash “London Calling”:

32) The Donnas “Who Invited You”:

33) Rick Derringer “Rock and Roll Hoochie Coo”:
