Hello,
From Meredith Brooks “Blurring The Edges”. The biggest hit is the “B—-” word song. (I loathe that word.) But there’s also the very good:
1) “What Would Happen”:
From Marcy Playground’s self-titled CD the big hit is “Sex and Candy”. However the CD also has other very good songs such as:
2) “Poppies”:
3) “Sherry Fraser”:
4) “Saint Joe On The School Bus”:
From Alanis Morissette’s “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie” the big hit is “Thank U”. Although I do love me some Alanis this CD isn’t that good. But it does have a couple of other good songs:
5) “That I Would Be Good”:
6) “Front Row”:
The big song on Joan Osborne’s “Relish” is “One of Us”. I heard that song earlier today and honestly it still sounds great. It hasn’t lost any of it’s magic. “Relish” is a great, great CD. Besides “One of Us” it also has:
7) “St. Teresa”:
8) “Right Hand Man”:
9) “Ladder”:
10) “Let’s Just Get Naked”:
11) “Dracula Moon”:
The big song on Chumbawamba’s “Tubthumper” is “Tubthumping”. I heard a great quote about Chumbawamba. It’s something along the lines of “We shouldn’t be surprised that Chumbawamba had only one hit, the surprise is that they had a hit at all”. I would give attribution for that quote but I can’t remember who said it. I’m sure I read it in a music magazine though. Other great songs on “Tubthumper” include:
12) “Scapegoat”:
13) “Amnesia”:
14) “The Good Ship Lifestyle”:
Besides the above mentioned songs these are the best songs from those CDs:
15) Alanis Morissette “Thank U”:
16) Harvey Danger “Flagpole Sitta”:
17) Chumbawamba “Tubthumping”:
18) Lou Bega “Mambo #5”:
19) Daniel Powter “Bad Day”:
20) 4 Non Blondes “What’s Up”:
21) Joan Osborne “One of Us”:
