(Finished May 27th, 2023) R.I.P. The Queen of Rock and Roll Miss Tina Turner

Hello,

A few days ago the artist formerly known as Anna Mae Bullock, Miss Tina Turner, died at the age of 83. One of America’s most electrifying singers has left the stage. She overcame many years of abuse at the hands of ex-husband Ike Turner. Like a Phoenix she rose from the flames of that relationship and became even more of a star than she was. (I don’t know how true or factual was the Turner movie “What’s Love Got To Do With It”. But if it’s even half accurate then that’s pretty horrific.)

But enough about that let’s focus on many of the great songs from her life. Starting with mainly the five star songs played by number of times on my iTunes.

1) “Steamy Windows”:

2) “Better Be Good To Me”:

3) “Goldeneye”:

4) “Way of the World”:

5) “Private Dancer”:

6) “Love Thing”:

7) “Let’s Stay Together”:

8) “What You See Is What You Get”:

9) “I Can’t Stand The Rain”:

10) “Show Some Respect”:

11) “I Don’t Wanna Lose You”:

12) “Typical Male”:

13) “Steel Claw”:

14) “River Deep Mountain High”:

One of the most classic songs of the early MTV era. 15) “What’s Love Got To Do With It”:

16) “1984”:

17) “The Best”:

18) “We Don’t Need Another Hero”:

19) “One of The Living”:
