(Finished May 29th, 2023) Part 2 of Selected Best Setlists at 1983’s US Festival: Men At Work

Hello,

The US Festival happened twice, once in 1982 and the second time in 1983. Since 1983 was exactly 40 years ago I’m going to focus on that second festival. The US Festival was Apple founder, Steve Wozniak, brainchild. He also fronted much of the money to make the concerts actually happen.

Concerts were held over four separate days. Each day had a theme New Wave Day, Rock Day, Heavy Metal Day and Country Day. First up New Wave day. Where I can I will post the actual video from the US Festival. If that doesn’t work I will then usually post a live version of the song. Thanks to setlist.fm for the setlists.

So many of these bands were just at the start of their careers. For instance INXS was still very young and raw. Looking at their setlist is to see a band before they really came into their own. Like A Flock of Seagulls, Men At Work were nearly at their peak. Their biggest hit after the songs in this concert was “Highwire”, which peaked at #89. “Highwire” is a great song so I’m going to include it here:

Men At Work

1) “I Can See It In Your Eyes”:

2) “No Restrictions”:

3) “Mr. Entertainer”:

4) “The Longest Night”:

5) “Blue For You”:

6) “Who Can It Be Now”:

7) “Helpless Automaton”:

8) “I Like To”:

9) “Underground”:

10) “Overkill”:

11) “Down Under”:

12) “It’s A Mistake”:

13) “Be Good Johnny”:
