There have seemed to be a lot of deaths of great singers of late. Gordon Lightfoot, Tina Turner and The Smiths’ Andy Rourke. Lightfoot wrote and played some of the 70s biggest hits. He was one of the musicians that was so fundamental in creating that mellow rock of the 70s. I’m going to post five of his songs and some other great mellow rock of the 70s.
Although Mr. Lightfoot hit his stride in the early 70s he kept on performing through most of his life. His musical legacy will last a long time. The following five songs are some of the most famous songs of that musical legacy. Although he died his music never will.
