What were the 50s known for? As you can see below Elvis was one of the most well known part of 50s culture. Other iconic performers of that decade include the Everly Brothers, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry and others.
The leaders at the time was Dwight Ike Eisenhower, Harry Truman, Mao Zedong, WInston Churchill and Joseph Stalin.
The 50s featured such amazing movies as “The African Queen”, “On The Waterfront”, “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof”, “Some Like It Hot”, “Ben Hur”, “The Ten Commandments”, “Sunset Boulevard”, “From Here To Eternity” and “Rebel Without A Cause”.
