Hello,
Yesterday I wrote about 103.1 The Wave, a local Salt Lake radio station that plays both classic New Wave and new New Wave. When that station played commercials I scanned other radio stations. By doing that I discovered 100.7 BOB FM. They also play a mix of old and new songs. But they mostly play rock, pop and funk/soul music. They claim they are having an all 80s weekend, but they are still playing songs from other decades.
My friend at work reminded me of the radio station 103.1 Wave, I decided to check them out on the way home. After too many minutes of ads and DJ appearances they did play 3 straight songs. The reason I rarely listen to radio is because of all the commercials and other nonsense. Hearing three songs in a row was a nice change. Not only three songs, but three great songs. For those that are wondering they played “Novocaine For The Soul”, “The Reflex” and “She Sells Sanctuary”.
I thought I would do for The BOB what I did for The Wave, here’s a random selection of about 20 songs they played today.
1) Eric Carmen “Make Me Lose Control”:
2) Chic “Le Freak”:
3) Def Leppard “Animal”:
