(Finished August 19th, 2023) Part 1 of The Turbulent, Multiple Genre Era of 1979 to 1983

Hello,

This five year span had multiple genres take their places in America and the world. Disco peaked in 1979 and basically died by 1981. New Wave was huge from about 1982-1986. Also hair metal got it’s first significant band, Quiet Riot, in 1983. Also Hip Hop was just making it’s sound known. Country music in the 80s was one of the best ever eras of country music. We’ll sneak in some Blues songs as well. This was an explosive five year era of music and here are some of the best music from those amazing five years. As always I try to ensure the correct years of the songs listed.
