Hello,
Out of the seemingly innumerable hard rock/hair metal/rock songs on my iTunes, these are the 17 songs that have been played the most. For the most part these are the best songs that are most played. For some reason so-called power ballads are played as much as the straight ahead rock songs. There’s no Def Leppard, Poison (although “Every Rose Has It’s Thorns is one of my favorite songs of all-time), Motley Crue, Cinderella or Warrant power ballads on this list. I’ll start with the 17th most played song and work to the most played song. I have rated all of these songs 4 or 5 stars.
Although both Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty would qualify in terms of number of plays I didn’t consider them for this blog. I did include Boston though, I agree it doesn’t feel consistent. Feel free to argue with me as I’m not fully on board with that either.
