(Finished February 6th, 2024) R.I.P. Toby Keith, His 19 Most Played Songs

Hello,

I woke up to the news of Toby Keith dying from stomach cancer. That was quite shocking as I wasn’t even aware that he was sick. Toby was born July 8th, 1961 and passed away in his sleep on February 5th. I didn’t like most of Keith’s politics, but I loved a lot of his music.

Keith was known for such songs as “How Do You Like Me Now?” and the theme song for all of us old men “As Good As I Once Was”. He also has other great songs such as “Country Comes To Town”, “Beer For My Horses”, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”, “I Wanna Talk About Me” and lesser known but great “I Know A Wall When I See One”. His sound varied from traditional country and much more rock edged country. Toby also made many videos with a sly sense of humor.

These are always the worst reason to blog about a particular person, but I’m happy to honor 19 of Toby Keith’s songs and his life. I usually only have 17 songs on these blogs, however several songs tied for 17th place. That’s why there are 19 songs on this blog.

Some of Toby Keith’s videos are just dumb, but I like this one. Most teenage boys cougar fantasy. But like fantasies the reality usually is what happens at the end of the video. 19) “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This”:

One of my favorite Toby songs. 18) “Blue Bedroom”:

17) “A Little Less Talk, A Lot More Action”:

16) “Dream Walkin”:

15) “Getcha Some”:

14) “Big Dog Daddy”:

13) featuring Merle Haggard “She Ain’t Hooked On Me No More”:

12) “When Love Fades”:

11) “Who’s That Man”:

10) “We Were In Love”:

9) “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”:

8) “If A Man Answers”:
