(Finished February 14th, 2024) R.I.P./Happy Birthday Ray Manzarek, The Doors 17 Most Played Songs

Hello,

For all intents and purposes the Doors died when Jim Morrison, Mr. Mojo Risin’ himself, died. I know the other original members tried to continue for awhile and there have been other attempts to to revive The Doors. But there will never be another Jim Morrison- for good and for bad- and thus there will never be another Doors. The good thing is we can still enjoy all those great songs.

The Doors were Morrison, lead singer, guitarist Robby Krieger, drummer John Densmore and finally keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Manzarek would have turned 85 a couple of days ago. Sadly he has been dead almost 11 years. His death coincides with the last attempt of reviving the Doors.

These are the 17 most played Doors songs on my iTunes. Many times I listen to iTunes on shuffle so the number of plays rarely is the same as how much I like a song. If this list was based on how much I like a song both “The End” and “When The Music’s Over” would be much higher. Then there are some songs that aren’t even represented in my Top 17. Those songs should be represented so they will be at the top of this blog.
