(Finished March 25th, 2024) Part 3 of Gen X Weekend

Hello,

If you wanted to create a Gen X weekend which decade would you start with? Obviously most people would start with the 80s, because that’s when many of us became sorta adults. But we were also listening to our older brothers and sisters and other family members music in the 70s. For those of us that didn’t have older brothers and sisters we had the radio playing songs from multiple genres. Remember radio? Then in the early 80s so we could both watch and listen to those musicians. Remember when MTV actually played videos. Then a lot of 90s music had much for us Generation X survivors to enjoy. We loved Grunge just as much as everyone else did and for many of us still do.

Then of course for those Gen X bands we still listen to their newer music, even if most of it isn’t as good as it was back in the day. Also there are bands and songs that are much more recent but fit right into that Gen X feeling.

I borrowed two playlists from two local Salt Lake City radio stations having either a Gen X or 80s and 90s weekends. I’ll also include some songs of my own choosing, songs from a YouTube playlist and from a Gen X group on Facebook.
