Hello,
What is the greatest musical of all-time? Is it an older musical like “South Pacific” or “Grease”. Or is it a more recent musical like “Phantom of The Opera”, “Rent” or the Madonna movie “Evita”. Or is the greatest musical of all-time an even more recent musical like “Hamilton”, “& Juliet” or “Come From Away”. 13) To me the greatest music is “Les Miserables”. I’m hopefully going to be seeing that in 2025. From that amazing musical here are 17 best songs from the musical and not very good movie.
I’m still irritated by how bad the singing, especially Russell Crowe, was in the movie. With Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen it was a poorly cast movie. However Eddie Redmayne, Anne Hathaway and Samantha Barks were absolutely great.
1) Anne Hathaway “I Dreamed A Dream”:
2) “One Day More”:
3) “Come To Me/Fantine’s Death”:
4) Valjean’s Soliloquy”:
5) “Who Am I-The Trial”:
6) “At The End of The Day”:
7) “Epilogue”:
8) “Javert’s Suicide”:
Activate goosebumps! 9) “Stars”:
10) “Look Down”:
11) “The Robbery/Javert’s Intervention”:
Although Hathaway was great, her version of this song is nowhere as good as Ruthie Henshall’s version. 12) “I Dreamed A Dream”:
Anne Hathaway was truly one of the best parts of this disappointing movie. 13) “Fantine’s Arrest”:
14) “The Runaway Cart”:
15) “The Confrontation”:
16) “Master of The House”:
17) “Do You Hear The People Sing”:
Bonus song 1 18) “ABC Cafe/ Red and Black”:
Bonus song 2 19) “Lovely Ladies”:
