(Finished May 19th, 2024) Part 1 of My Favorite Songs As A Punk Kid

Hello,

Back in the olden days, over 40 years ago, I was a music loving punk kid. My three favorite bands growing up were Blondie, ELO and Cheap Trick. Remarkably all three bands are still alive, or were still going just a couple of years ago. I caught many of those great 70s songs, but it took several years before I heard all the other great 70s songs. I don’t even know when I became aware of “Born To Run”, now it’s one of my favorite songs of any decade.

This was such a great time for music, I caught the bulk of disco, loved the new wave era, enjoyed all the great pop, soul and rock songs. Although not a big fan I caught the beginnings of rap. It was such a great time for music.

My absolute favorite song growing up. 1) Blondie “Heart of Glass”:

2) ELO “Don’t Bring Me Down”:

3) Donna Summer “Bad Girls”:

4) Donna Summer “Hot Stuff”:
