(Finished May 22nd, 2024) Part 1 of The Best Voices of Music: The Women

Hello,

What makes a great song? Some of those things include great music, great lyrics and the feeling and emotions of a song. However one of the things that helps make a great song truly great is the voice and singing ability of the singer.

I’m not exactly sure what the word is about the best thing I like about Stevie’s voice. Perhaps the best word is tone. There’s such a beautiful and powerful tone in her voice. 1) Stevie Nicks “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around”:

2) “Stand Back”:

I love listening to that voice so much. 3) “Rooms On Fire”:

Wow, this is such a powerful song, this song is the sound of a band at their absolute peak. I love the harmonies of Stevie, Lindsey and Christine. 4) Fleetwood Mac “The Chain”:

5) Fleetwood Mac “Rhiannon”:

6) Stevie Nicks “Edge of Seventeen”:

Because of her great voice Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote the songs of this musical for her. His music and her powerful voice are a delightful combination. That note she hits and holds at the end of this song is so amazing. 2) Sarah Brightman “The Phantom of the Opera”:

With Andrea Bocelli, two great voices working together brilliantly. “Time To Say Goodbye”:

“Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again”:

“The Second Element”:

“Eden”:

Perhaps some more restrained vocals on this song would have made it even better. “Another Suitcase In Another Hall”:

I purposefully didn’t include that song from “Titanic” because it was overplayed and I was never a big fan of it.

3) Celine Dion featuring Peabo Bryson “Beauty and the Beast”:

featuring Barbra Streisand “Tell Him”:

“The Power of Love”:

When she starts singing this song, wow!!! “Because You Loved Me”:

“If You Asked Me To”:

Let’s close out this blog with this absolutely stunning and incredible take on this Jim Steinman classic. Absolutely one of the greatest vocal performances ever. “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”:
