(Finished September 7th, 2024) Part 2 of The Best of Stock Aitken and Waterman

Hello,

On August 25th producer extraordinaire Matt Aitken had his birthday, he turned 68. As a fellow old dude my condolences to him. Stock Aitken and Waterman, or SAW, as they were known produced many of the best dance songs of the mid and late 80s.

SAW worked together in various combinations 1) all three working together, 2) only two of them working together or 3) one working by themselves. Each of the songs below has at least one of the three and many of these songs were produced by all three.

I picked many of the following songs from this website: https://www.classicpopmag.com/2021/08/stock-aitken-waterman-songs/

18) Kylie Minogue “I Should Be So Lucky”:

19) Bananarama “I Heard A Rumor”:

20) Princess “Say I’m Your Number One”:

21) Kylie Minogue “Better The Devil You Know”:

22) Bananarama “Love In The First Degree”:

23) Rick Astley “Never Gonna Give You Up”:

24) Bananarama “Venus”:

This has to be the best SAW collaboration, this song is such a great dance track. 25) Dead or Alive “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)”:

26) Murder Mix of “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)”:

27) The Christians, Holly Johnson, Paul McCartney, Gerry Marsden et. al. “Ferry Across The Mersey”:

28) Jason Donovan “Sealed With A Kiss”:

29) Dead or Alive “Lover Come Back To Me”:

30) Laura Branigan “Shattered Glass”:

31) Sigue SIgue Sputnik “Success”:

32) Band Aid 2 “Do They Know It’s Christmas”:

33) Sybil “Make It Easy On Me”:

34) Big Fun “Handful of Promises”:

There are several of these on Youtube and I’m not sure which one is the official one. This one seemed the most interesting. 35) PWL Radio Megamix:
