This is my reworked rankings of the Top 50 New Wave Songs Of All-Time. It was created by Charlie’s 80s Attic Radio Station. I’ll refer to it as the original list on my blog below. I’m keeping most of the songs where they are from the original list, however there are a few songs that I have replaced. For instance I’ve never heard of The The’s “Uncertain Smile” so I will be replacing that song. I’ll also make some mild adjustments in the rankings.

At least that was my original goal but this took on a life of it’s own once i got started.

Song #3 Visage’s “Fade To Grey”, Song #12 The The “Uncertain Smile”, Song #13 Freur’s “Doot Doot”, Song #14 B-Movie’s “Nowhere Girl”, Song #18 The Cure “Let’s Go To Bed”, Song 19, OMD’s “Enola Gay, Song #22 Adam and the Ants “Antmusic”, Song #23 Blancmange “Living On The Ceiling”, Song #26) David Bowie “Ashes To Ashes”, Song #23) Blancmange “Living On The Ceiling” and other songs aren’t on my list.

New addition is a song not on Charlie’s 80s Attic Radio Station’s original list.

This is a perfectly good song, but not the best New Wave song of all-time. This is song #1 on the original list. 50) Joy Division “Love Will Tear Us Apart”:

This is Song #16 on the original list. 49) Duran Duran “Planet Earth”:

This is song #49 on the original list. 48) Missing Persons “Walking In L.A.”:
