Hello,
This is a tribute to those amazing singers from the 70s who have died in 2025. The first 4.5 blogs in this series will be songs by 70s musicians who died this year. That would be musicians including Clem Burke, Ozzy Osbourne, Garth Hudson, producer Roy Thomas Baker and many others. I’m starting off this blog with several songs from Supertramp. Davies, along with Roger Hodgson, were the main singers of Supertramp. As of now he’s the most recent 70s music legend to die.
The first nine songs are all by Supertramp, who featured Rick Davies.
1) “Dreamer”:
2) “Bloody Well Right”:
3) “Ain’t Nobody But Me”:
4) “Give A Little Bit”:
I related so much to this song growing up. 5) “The Logical Song”:
6) “Breakfast In America”:
7) “Goodbye Stranger”:
8) “Take The Long Way Home”:
9) “Rudy”:
These three 70s songs have super in the title, which is why they are here.
10) Curtis Mayfield “Superfly”:
11) Stevie Wonder “Superstition”:
12) The Carpenters “Superstar”:
13) “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”:
14) “Killing Me Softly With His Song”:
15) “Feel Like Makin’ Love”:
16) featuring Donny Hathaway “The Closer I Get To You”:
Like the song above it a masterpiece of a ballad. 17) Robert John “Sad Eyes”:
