I’m an old man and I still think the decade of the 80s was the best decade of music in this modern era of music. I looked at the year end chart for 2000. Sure there were some great songs. But oh my goodness there were some crappy songs. I also looked at 2008’s Billboard year end chart and again there were so many bad songs in that year. There were probably more bad songs than good songs.
So from my old man’s perspective I went back and looked to see what year was the last great Billboard Year End Top 100 and that year seems to be 1991.
I’m going to countdown those 100 songs in order of quality in my opinion. These are the best of the best of 1991. That’s according to the metric of how much I like the song. For this final blog I will be posting some other great songs from some of these musicians.
