(Finished February 5th, 2026) Part 3 of The Most Underappreciated/ Unknown Songs of the 80s

Hello,

As I’m working on the best 80s ballads I want to work on the 80s most underrated songs of all-time. These are great songs that for some reason have been mostly lost to time. These songs should be more popular and better remembered now. That is unless a weirdo like me dredges them up from the past again. Enjoy!!

Special thanks to the YouTube Obscure 80s Songs Video collection. I remembered a lot of great songs and even discovered some new songs.

35) Cher “Just Like Jesse James”:

36) April Wine “I Like To Rock”:

I did some digging for this song, I know so little of David Gilmour’s solo work. 37) David Gilmour “Murder”:

38) Julie Brown “Homecoming Queen’s Got A Gun”:

39) Scritti Politti “Perfect Way”:

40) Fabulous Thunderbirds “Tuff Enuff”:

I always thought the Hooters should have been a much bigger band. 41) The Hooters “Where Do The Children Go”:

Obviously I know who these two guys are, but I never realized they worked together until a few days ago. 42) Schon and Hammer “No More Lies”:

43) Tommy Shaw “Girls With Guns”:

44) Pat Benatar “Hell Is For Children”:

45) Peter Schilling “A Different Story (World of Lust and Crime)”:

46) Pete Shelley “Homosapien”:

47) Baltimora “Tarzan Boy”:

48) Wang Chung “Dance Hall Days”:

49) U2 “Bullet The Blue Sky”:

50) Haysi Fantayzee “Shiny Shiny”:

51) Sheena Easton “The Lover In Me”:
