Hello,
I’m putting these songs in alphabetical order. For the early days of the blog I’m not going to number the songs. I’ll do that when things becomes a bit more concrete, solidified and actually closer to 1,000 songs. And yes I realize this series of blogs is probably going to have a lot more than 1,000 songs. I’ll have these songs in alphabetical order as frankly that’s just easier to keep track. These blogs will be in constant flux which is why I’m calling them ever changing. Eventually they’ll stop changing, but that’s a ways down the road.
I’ll have several individual blogs for nearly every letter. I’ll combine x,y and z into in one blog. I will also combine other letters into the same blog. I’ll also have some letters have several blogs depending on how many greatest hits those letters have. Some of these songs will start out as a Top 1000 song but could eventually be changed to honorable mention.
Some of these songs will be well known classics that nearly everyone will know and some will be songs that very few people will have ever heard of. I will also have a couple of songs from my religion- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. These songs are included not because of my religion but because in my opinion they’re literally some of the greatest songs of all-time.
This may not be the final version of this blog. If I discover or remember a song that matches this blog series criteria I will add it. I have worked hard to hopefully make sure that doesn’t happen.
There are some songs that are so close to being greatest songs of all-time, but aren’t quite there. I will include those songs near that band’s actual greatest hits.
