Hello,
Yesterday I ordered a couple of Empress Valley Led Zeppelin bootlegs. I think I should have written this blog before ordering those CDs- this blog is an intent to get an idea of how good of sound is those bootlegs. Here’s a random selection of Empress Valley Led Zeppelin bootlegs. Since I’m getting CDs I’m much worried about the quality of the sound instead of the video.
The quality is good, but a bit muddy and sludgy. Is that the recording or an intentional choice by someone. That being said I would be very glad to listen to this quality of CD in my vehicle at a very loud volume. 1) “When The Levee Breaks”:
I prefer the sound quality of the above video. 2) A snippet of “Immigrant Song”:
3) “Stairway To Heaven”:
4) I’ve heard this song many times, but I’m not sure the title? Maybe it’s “Back To The Garden”:
Wow, this has great sound. 5) “The Wanton Song”:
6) “For What It’s Worth”/ “Woodstock”/ “I Shot the Sheriff”:
7) “Communication Breakdown”/ “I Can’t Quit You Baby”/ “Heartbreaker”:
8) A 1980 Rehearsal:
9) “All My Love”:
10) A partial recording from the “Destroyer” Bootleg:
11) Led Zeppelin live in Louisiana in 1975:
12) From a 1977 show in Seattle:
13) This was one of their last shows, from Berlin in 1980:
Bonus songs 14) A 5 hour Led Zeppelin concert that some worked hard on to create for us, with Jack Black giving the introduction.
After listening to a lot of these bootlegs they are better than I expected, but I’m still meh on the sound quality. I’ll let you know how the two concerts I bought are when they arrive.
