Hello,
I started reading Bradley Morgan’s “U2’s The Joshua Tree: Planting Roots In Mythic America”. It’s a history of the making of “The Joshua Tree” and contrasting the “two Americas” as Bono calls it. The two Americas are the mythic America and the actual America.
As I was reading this book the author also mentions other CDs that came out that year. That includes Guns N’ Roses “Appetite For Destruction”, Prince’s “Sign of The Times”, the “Dirty Dancing” soundtrack, Michael Jackson’s “Bad” and George Michael’s “Faith”.
Thus I’ve spent a few hours coming up with the greatest CDs of 1987. These CDs are the greatest from truly the greatest to just pretty dern good. I have 49 CDs so far and I will publish the best songs from those 49 CDs.
